It’s all about Place-Making.
Paradise City Landscape Design offers a broad range of services to homeowners and business people across the Pioneer Valley.
We put our knowledge and experience to work in landscape architecture, site planning and design. We also install what we plan for you: stone walls, paths and patios, as well as water features, rain gardens and plantings. As needed, we also do site work that includes excavating and grading.
Our services fall into three main categories: design, installation and maintenance.
Design.
The place-making process begins
Landscape design is a process that begins with getting to know you, your home or business, and your interests. Design inspiration is what makes your place spring to life. It can come from your personal taste, such as an affinity for modern art, or from distinctive features of the site, such as a high promontory or nestled woodland area. Maggie Leonard will put her place-making hat on and help you discover your unique inspiration and propose the ways in which your property can be transformed.
Design drafts will bring the proposed project to life for you, offering a sense of dimension and scale, as well as giving you a look at the proposed palette of unique plantings.
Landscape plans can range in scope from a sketch produced after a 90-minute consult to full-scale architectural renderings that will guide a major landscape project. Our designs can be submitted for review by a conservation commission, or a planning or zoning board, and they serve as a guide for installation.
Installation.
Bed preparation and planting: Innovative ideas come to life
After a client approves our landscape design and budget, we move into the installation phase.
Our Paradise City Landscape Design team oversees work that runs the gamut from grading and light excavation, bed preparation, composting and mulching, to installing sculpture or water features and developing decorative rainwater and drainage systems. We also design and install major plantings, and we create patios, retaining walls and walkways with Goshen stone (and free-standing dry laid stone walls, too.) When needed, we bring in our colleagues in the community who have a specialty in such areas as irrigation, excavation or carpentry.
We respect, lead and take responsibility for projects of any scope.
Maintenance.
Our shared vision is ensured
By maintaining the spaces we design and install, we take personal responsibility for ensuring that the place we imagined grows and develops as we intended. Over decades, we have developed close and trusting relationships with our clients as we care for their landscapes at the home or office.
We don’t just tidy your plantings, though. We see landscape maintenance as a role that requires vision and particular skills and sensibilities. To us, maintenance is part of place-making. We offer pest management, fertilizing, renewal pruning, and we take on all the tasks that allow your plants—and the landscape in its entirety—to stay healthy and vibrant.
We customize our maintenance services to meet your specific needs and set pricing accordingly.
