Paradise City Landscape Design proposed a mixed tree and shrub planting to work with the earthen berm in screening this Leeds residence from the street. The owners were interested in plantings that functionally provided some privacy, but also texture, color and winter interest.
When the owners built their house, the front yard trees were buried in soil, putting the trees at risk for the long run. Paradise City Landscape Design recommended removing the damaged trees, and and in their place, installed a Himalayan white birch clump and a paperbark maple to grace the front yard. The red twig dogwoods, mugo pines, weigela and clethra, as well as numerous perennials and grasses, together created a textured mosaic.
